A mailing list of renters is a
difficult list to maintain than a new homeowner list simply because there is
less demand for such an audience and renters by nature are more transient a
population. Since the renter population
relocates more frequently than the new homeowner list population, the renter
list is usually less accurate. To increase
the accuracy of a renter list, a good list broker will typically first create a
suppression file of homeowners and new homeowner lists. Then pulling all other consumers that are not
homeowners or on the new homeowner list will easily identify the vast majority
of renters. This process is never 100%
accurate but it’s currently the best way to identifying those elusive
renters.
